The Spirit of Sweet Auburn will be hosting its annual Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival beginning Friday, October 3, 2008 through Sunday, October 5, 2008.

This year’s festival is themed A Festival with a Purpose. “Our goal this year is to help produce the largest voter turn out in Georgia’s history,” states Charles Johnson, president of the Spirit of Sweet Auburn. Mr. Johnson is urging organizations, families, neighbors, churches, etc. to join the movement to make a difference in this year’s election.

The major thrust of this year’s event is the Million Voter Pledge (MVP), which is designed to register new voters to take the pledge to get out and vote, and then commit to bring five other people to do the same.
