Dear Better Health Advocate:

As founder and owner of BlackAtlanta.com, I am writing to introduce a new BlackAtlanta.com Health Section and Initiative and to invite you to consider a sponsorship proposal.

When deciding to add this section again to our site, I PERSONALLY decided to engage my own health needs and put those to the forefront. In doing that, I have lost 30 pounds and about 8 inches in the waist in three months.

My personal focus and motivation for the next year, will be on increasing my own vitality AND bringing other people along with me, on this trek to better health and lifestyles. While this initiative does not focus on race, our demographic, African Americans, surely are plagued with obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and more! Our genetic predisposition to these diseases are not assisted by the fact that we over eat and under exercise, opting for very sedentary lives.

My hope is to use the thousands of visits we get to BlackAtlanta.com to support this initiative, and again, instead of leading the cause without participation, I personally am taking social responsibility and leading the cause with my own personal story, testimony about beating an 8 year pattern of being overweight, and even sharing the everyday battles of remaining disciplined for LIFE LONG change.

It is my hope, that as you read this, you will come on board as a sponsor, so that we may build this section out, increase word of mouth marketing, and also, to show the world that you support the advancement of African American Health.

My question to you… is what are YOU personally doing in the fight against the degradation of Black health?

When you are walking through the store today, or at work, check out the number of obese people. My goal is to show the world a new lease on life, and work with those who are willing to learn and who want the motivation to work through the struggle of physical self improvement.

This is a timely consideration and we don’t have many slots in the first phase. We aim to have corporate sponsors and smaller business sponsors in this initiative. Please consider it carefully and promptly in your sponsorship efforts. Included in the packages will be presence in a downloadable EBOOK that I am drafting now, telling everyone how I lost the weight, presence on the Ebook download page, sponsorship presence on the Health Section of BlackAtanta.com, and presence in all newsletter correspondence.

We are working with PR firms who want to help with the initiative, and look forward to these firms assisting us in getting interviews and prime placement. And yes, I look to call out key professionals and companies, challenging them in their health initiative levels.
