Stand UP ATLANTA!!!!
Support and assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina in AtlantaThe people of the Gulf Coast area of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama have been severely affected by Hurricane Katrina. Lives have been lost, people are distraught and it will take a very long time for life as they know it to return to normal. We have a duty as natural humanitarians to assist in anyway possible by helping others who are in a serious time of need and support! Numerous people that have been affected by Hurricane Katrina are currently in Atlanta as they are slowly trying to start their lives over with the help of various churches, local charities, the Red Cross, Atlanta Shelters, companies and humanitarians. We cannot sit back and watch these people suffer and struggle. We must STAND UP ATLANTA and come together to assist them in anyway possible.
We challenge every entity with the realm of the entertainment scene in Atlanta to support the victims of Hurricane Katrina by collecting non-perishable foods (can or packaged food), clothing, shoes, toiletries (tooth brush, toothpaste, soap, etc.) and most importantly monetary contributions to assist the people in need. Please remember a lot of these people have children so children’s clothing, toys and baby products are also very important. Checks can be made payable to the RED CROSS.
As we all go out this Labor Day Weekend to party and enjoy ourselves, we ask you to remember those in need and we challenge you to support this cause by bringing your charitable donations to your party location.
On Friday Night, STAND UP ATLANTA volunteers will be at Cherry Restaurant collecting your items and donations for the victims.
On Saturday, STAND UP ATLANTA volunteers will be at WHISKEY PEACH collecting your items and donations for the victims.
On Sunday, STAND UP ATLANTA volunteers will be at CLUB 1150 collecting your items and donations for the victims.
