Final Fridays THANKS!... Thanks to ALL who came out and supported Final Fridays. The event founders, BlackBigs and TiwaWorks have done a tremendous job in promoting the event. Anytime there is a mad line and the Fire Marshall comes through several times, you know it is off the chain! The October event was also brought to you by YOURS TRULY --> BlackAtlanta.com and by Prophecy Events.
Word of Advice: Don't miss the next one.
In the words of the BlackBigs Post Game Report ... This past Final Fridays was off the chain. Clearly the best one yet! Every month it keeps getting better. The fire marshalls paid us not one but two visits, but they couldn't stop the momentum of Final Fridays. The front door was looking crazy with so many people trying to get in. Once they got in they got all they needed with the sounds of V-103's DJ Soul tearing it up downstairs (congrats on ya spot on the Ryan Cameron Show) and DJ JI Upstairs.

Nov.18th World Premiere at Lithonia's Black owned Theater
The Cinefe 8 Movie Theater joins multimedia edu-tainment company Skinnymen Productions in their efforts to educate, entertain, and empower Georgia. On Friday, November 18th at the Cinefe 8 Movie Theater, they will host a special world premiere showing of Skinnymen Productions landmark feature-length documentary, Independent Doin Major Things.
Independent, Doin Major Things has already been compared to Fahrenheit 911 and Jay-Zs Fade to Black. It captures what filmmaker Hotep calls, The Atlanta Renaissance - the incredible artistic, entrepreneurial and cultural movements taking place in the city known as the Motown of the South. This documentary is receiving attention nation-wide as it was entered into the world-renowned 2006 Sundance Film Festival and the Lafapalooza Film Fest.
The success of Independent, Doin Major Things is mainly due to its strong appeal to the general public. Regardless of age, gender, background or profession, this film seems to invigorate the audience with the independent spirit, converting viewers into do-ers. Hotep and Cinefe 8 owner, Lee May look forward to inviting local youth/ teen groups, collegiate and professional organizations to the daily screenings at the newly renovated theater.
In the tradition of giving thanks, on the evening of Thursday, November 24th, Skinnymen Productions will donate a portion of the ticket sales to non-profit organizations, Youth Media Blitz and Forme Program. The Youth Media Blitz and Forme Program are youth centered organizations that focus on education and entrepreneurialism in the arts and media.
The Cinefe 8 Movie Theater is located in Lithonia, GA, on the corner of Covington Hwy and Panola Rd. The showings of Independent, Doin Major Things will continue to run daily at 7pm for a week beginning with the world premiere on Friday, November 18th and ending on Thanksgiving night. At the weeks conclusion, Skinnymen Productions and Cinefe 8 will have successfully brought the Atlanta metro area together, for 7 days of edu-tainment and giving back to this amazing city.

BlackAtlanta.com Special Ad: Slim4Us - First Dietary Supplement Geared Towards African-Americans
Houston, TX (BlackNews.com) - William Parker, Jr. a Houston area African-American pharmacist has developed a new dietary supplement called SLIM4US. "The African-American community
has been neglected by the health care industry," says Mr. Parker.
William Parker, president and founder of FIT4US is starting a drive to CLOSE the GAP in the disparity of health care options. Mr. Parker has been working on the SLIM4US formula, as well as other FIT4US products for over two years.
He comments, "With over five years in retail pharmacy experience, I saw a lot of customers come in with high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity - all preventable. I felt I could do more for their health."
Mr. Parker is currently putting the finishing touches on over twenty-five different products. SLIM4US is the first because obesity is so prevalent and is a contributing factor in many health problems.
Dailyfit, a FIT4US multi-vitamin which compliments the SLIM4US formula, is also available.
SLIM4US and FIT4US are available online at www.SLIM4US.com or by phone at 877-348-4879. It will also be available at several local pharmacies. "I hope to be in the major stores, Wal-mart, Walgreens, CVS and Kroger, in a few months.
