luncheon on Monday, March 28th, 2005, inside the 191 Club
on Peachtree Center. The site received "Courageous Visionary
Award" alongside Atlanta's Apex Museum and Georgia State
Representative Tyrone Brooks

Regarding awardee
Blackatlanta.com, founding Co-Owner Steve Wicks explained,

Both owners agreed
that civil rights icon Tyrone Brooks was the kind of pioneer
who richly deserved this kind of recognition.
The event was graced
by the presence of reigning Miss Black Georgia and Miss Black
Atlanta in attendance.
